This review is from: Velox Rim Strip - 700 x 16mm Each (Misc.) Two tubes later I couldn't figure out why I kept getting flats while just filling them. 'Is my compressor gauge busted?' Finally I noticed that the thin rubber strip my wheels came with had holes over some of the spoke holes, doh! The velox strip is made of a strong plastic like the stuff warehouses use to strap heavy boxes. No flats since install. I don't know about its longevity for I just got it. Important. If you get it on the rim with the valve hole even slightly misaligned, it needs to be taken off and remounted.
